We should live on a farm!

Bob ordered an incubator a few weeks ago and started a batch of 8 eggs. We had the incubator sitting on our counter and it was pretty exciting watching the eggs turning back and forth for four weeks. Then hatching day came and things did get interesting. I've decided that there is no easy, clean way to be born! Those little ducks worked and worked to hatch. The first duck that started hatching died when it had a hole about the size of a dime in the shell. It was so sad!
Two more made it out in the next 24 hours and we thought that was all we were going to get, then we noticed another egg that was busy rocking in the incubator. The next day that duck finished hatching. Three eggs out of eight. Hmmm, not very good odds but oh well, they are sure cute!
